AREAS AFFECTED: Southern Big Horn
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation expected, including pockets of light freezing rain. Snow accumulations less than an inch. Ice accumulations of a light glaze. For the Winter Storm Watch, periods of heavy snow. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Southern Big Horn. * WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 9 AM MDT this morning. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Thursday evening through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...For the advisory, travel will be impacted by poor visibility and slick or slushy conditions on roads. This includes I-90 from Crow Agency to Aberdeen Hill. For the Winter Storm Watch, difficult travel conditions due to snow, poor visibility and some blowing snow. Cool, wet and windy conditions will be hazardous for young livestock.
INSTRUCTION: Slow down and use caution while traveling. For the latest road conditions, call 5 1 1.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
