DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Beaver Creek near Electra affecting Wichita and Wilbarger Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Beaver Creek near Electra. * WHEN...Until Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Widespread flood levels up to 4 feet in depth cover farm and range lands... and may inundate some oil and gas facilities... along and near the creek in southern Wilbarger County and southwestern Wichita County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 26.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 24.0 feet. - Forecast...The Beaver Creek is expected to rise to a crest of 28.3 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 27.7 feet on 05/20/2017. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Freezing rain is a condition where precipitation which has fallen in the form of
water droplets reaches temperatures which are below freezing and freezes upon
coming into contact
with surface objects. The result of this precipitation is a glaze of ice which
can be damaging to plants and man-made structures. A severe onset of freezing
rain which results in a very thick glaze of ice is known as an ice storm.

Hail is a form of precipitation which is recognized by large solid balls or
clumps of ice. Hail is created by thunderstorm clouds with strong updrafts of wind.
As the hailstones remain in the updraft, ice is deposited onto them until their
weight becomes heavy enough for them to fall to the earth's surface.
Hail storms can cause significant damage to crops, aircrafts, and man-made structures,
despite the fact that the duration is usually less than ten minutes.
