DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota... South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County. Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Blue Earth, Brown and Nicollet Counties. Minnesota River at Granite Falls HWY 212 affecting Renville, Yellow Medicine and Chippewa Counties. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties. Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Yellow Medicine, Chippewa and Lac qui Parle Counties. Crow River at Rockford affecting Hennepin and Wright Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Fork Crow River below Mayer. * WHEN...Until Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Carver County Road 123 is closed north of Highway 7 to 42nd Street. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 830 PM CDT Wednesday, the stage was 11.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 830 PM CDT Wednesday was 11.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.5 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.5 feet on 05/26/2017.

INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense. The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.

Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types. They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are smaller than raindrops.

Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle, a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface. Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
