Flood Advisory issued July 6 at 4:09PM CDT until July 6 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX
AREAS AFFECTED: Concho, TX; Menard, TX; Schleicher, TX; Tom Green, TX
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Concho, Menard, Schleicher and Tom Green. * WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 407 PM CDT, A line of showers and storms were moving south across the area, producing moderate to heavy rainfall.Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area in a short amount of time. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Eden, Live Oak and Adams.
INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the
cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense.
The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although
most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.
Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types.
They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
