DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana...Mississippi... Mississippi River At Donaldsonville affecting Ascension Parish. Mississippi River At Baton Rouge affecting East Baton Rouge and West Baton Rouge Parishes. Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting Pointe Coupee, East Baton Rouge and West Feliciana Parishes. Pearl River Near Pearl River affecting St. Tammany, Hancock and Pearl River Counties. Pearl River Near Bogalusa affecting Washington and Pearl River Counties. For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville...Moderate flooding is forecast. For the Lower Pearl River...including Bogalusa, Pearl River...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge. * WHEN...Until Thursday, May 29. * IMPACTS...At 38.0 feet, River traffic and industrial activity on the river side of the levees will be greatly affected. Navigational safety regulations will be strictly enforced. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 37.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 38.0 feet Monday evening. Similar to cirrocumulus clouds, altocumulus clouds are
characterized by cloud patches. They are distinguished by larger cloudlets
than cirrocumulus clouds but are still smaller than stratocumulus clouds.
Altocumulus clouds most commonly form in middle altitudes (between 2 and 5 km)
and may resemble, at times, the shape of a flying saucer.
These uncommon formations, called altocumulus lenticularis, are created by uplift
in the atmosphere and are most often seen in close proximity to mountains.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
